F*ck Off Terrorists: The ADANAI All-In Playlist

Editor’s note: You will need Spotify (Get it here: www.spotify.com) to listen to, share and subscribe to the playlists we will periodically post.

FF*ck the brothers responsible for the Boston Marathon bombing.  ADANAI is generally not a place for political opinions or messages, or flagrant cursing. However, this horrific event transcends norms.  Now that the perps have been killed/captured, the healing process can begin.  It will be a difficult road but all one had to do was watch the jubilation in Boston Friday night after the younger brother was captured to know the healing process will be successful.  It always is in America.  As President Obama said during the memorial service in Boston on Thursday, “We finish the race.”  The meaning of that metaphor is straight forward yet powerful.

What does it mean to ADANAI and its fans?  Adding words to one of the most talented orators in history is generally not a great idea, but taking the President’s metaphor one step further: “We finish the race and will win it.”

This ADANAI All-In playlist celebrates America’s ability to win the race – always.  America doesn’t just finish the race; it wins it with an indescribable swagger.  Music may be the best way to articulate this swagger mentality.  The two music genres of choice for ADANAI are electronic dance music and hip-hop.  Hip-hop fits for this one.  Throw this playlist on while partying, driving, working out, sitting at the poker table or doing anything else this great country affords you.  This playlist will remind you of all the glorious ways America finishes the race first.  Here is the list with a thought on each song’s inclusion:

  • Kanye West – “All Of The Lights”: The perfect way to start any playlist; with a call to pay attention – “Turn on the lights in here baby, extra bright I want ya’ll to see this.”
  • Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Feat. Ray Dalton – “Can’t Hold Us”: Do the terrorists think their stupid attack can hold us back?
  • T.I. Feat. Rihanna – “Live Your Life”: The terrorists should stop hating on America and just live their life.
  • Kanye West – “Good Morning”: Tuesday morning, the good people of Boston woke up and got right back to it. America always gets right back up.
  • Talib Kweli – “Around My Way”: American neighborhoods are  the foundation for the support and love that lifts us up when times are tough.
  • Kid Cudi – “Pursuit Of Happiness (nightmare)”: Enough of the sappy talk;Americans pursue happiness and fun with a vigor most can’t comprehend.  Americans have made partying an art form.  Kid Cudi raps: “People told me slow my roll; I’m screaming out f*ck that; Imma do just what I want lookin’ ahead no turnin’ back; If I fall if I die know I lived it to the fullest”
  • 50 Cent – “Straight To The Bank”: Watching this video makes it hard to think of anything but winning.
  • T.I. – “Whatever You Like”: Generosity wins. So does dropping a couple of stacks on your girl but a$$hole terrorists probably don’t know much about that.
  • The Notorious B.I.G. – “#!*@ You Tonight”: All due respect, but where else can a 350 lb. man who never held a candle to  Will Smith or Jamie Foxx in the looks department rap about f#!cking a girl without spending any money?
  • Kanye West – “Good Life”: “50 told me to go ahead switch the style up and if they hate then let them hate and watch the money pile up.”
  • The Notorious B.I.G. – “Who Shot Ya”: Biggie has a special shout out to Mr. “I am too much of a pu$$y to make it in America so I am going to brainwash my younger brother and kill/hurt a bunch of innocent people in the most wussy way possible.”  Oh, and  that was the Boston Police Department who shot ya.
  • Kanye West, JAY-Z, Pusha T, Prynce Cy Hi, Swizz Beatz, The RZA – “So Appalled”: Pretty self explanatory.
  • Dr. Dre Feat. Eminem – “What’s The Difference”: Simple – Americans win and the terrorists don’t.
  • Kanye West – “Can’t Tell Me Nothing”: Americans know how to get their swag on like no other. Don’t like it? F*ck off.
  • DJ Khaled Feat. T-Pain, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg & Rick Ross – “All I Do Is Win”:  Just a quick reminder in case anyone forgot what Americans do.
  • Fat Joe Feat. R. Kelly, T.I., Lil Wayne, Baby, Rick Ross and Ace Mac – “Make It Rain – Remix”: Jeff Bauman, the poor man who lost his legs in the bombing, was saved by now famous hero Carlos Arredondo.   Bradley Cooper went to visit Bauman in his hospital room this week.  Here is what should happen next: Lil Wayne and Rick Ross need to take Bauman to the King of Diamonds strip club in Miami for a night of rain making (for the uninitiated see the below video).  In America, that could actually happen.
  • Juicy J – “Bandz A Make Her Dance” – Takes “Make It Rain” to a whole new level.  No need to discuss – just  read this.
  • Rick Ross – “B.M.F. (Blowin’ Money Fast)”: Americans can spend money like no other.  And you know what? Americans earn it right back.
  • Lloyd Banks – “I’m So Fly”: Mr. Banks reminds everyone why true Americans don’t do stupid sh*t like bomb innocents: “I got the patience of a high school teacher and a bright future, why the f*ck would I have a bomb in my sneaker?”
  • Drake – “Started From the Bottom”: Americans are loyal.  Enjoying some success? Then the whole crew is going to benefit.
  • A$AP Rocky – “F**kin’ Problems”: Definition of a first world problem: loving bad b*tches and liking to f*ck them.
  • Jay-Z Feat. Rihanna & Kanye West – “Run This Town”: Governor Deval Patrick and Mayor Menino showed everyone who runs Boston.  They shut down the entire city to find one man.  And it worked.
  • T.I. – “What You Know”: Clifford Harris Jr. has a little message for the terrorists: “But you’s a scary dude; believed by very few; just keep it very cool; or we will bury you.”
  • Nas Feat. Puff Daddy – “Hate Me Now”: Those that want to keep hating America can keep it doing it, but hate won’t stop America from winning.
  • JAY-Z – “Big Pimpin’”: Does this one need an explanation? Possibly the best boast rap ever written.
  • Young Buck And Outlawz – “Ridin’ Down The Freeway”: Close your eyes, listen to Young Buck describe rolling in his drop-top and understand that this feeling can only exist in a country that pushes people to win.
  • Young Jeezy – “Bury Me A G”: Even in death Americans win.
  • 50 Cent Feat. P. Diddy and JAY-Z – “I Get Money – Forbes 1,2,3 Remix”: Three men who grew up on the streets of Queens, Harlem and Brooklyn and are each worth at least $100 million; that’s winning.
  • Three 6 Mafia Feat. Slim Thug, Trick Daddy and Project Pat – “Stay Fly – Still Fly Remix”: Remember that swag thing?
  • P. Diddy Feat. Notorious B.I.G., Busta Rhymes, 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks – “Victory 2004”: A hip-hop playlist about winning can’t exclude this song.  Biggie, Diddy, Busta and 50 rapping over the Rocky theme?!?
  • Raekwon – “Ice Cream”: What’s better than using ice cream flavors to describe the complexion of all of the women one beds.  Pretty sure Raekwon, Ghostface and Method Man are winning if that’s how they roll.
  • 2Pac – “Life Goes On”: That’s right – life goes on for Americans and no matter what, it’s a winning life.
