Up until a few years ago the sports bar formula was pretty standard: lots of TVs, lots of beer, lots of wings and lots of drunks. In New York, we have entered a new phase where we still have TVs (and definitely drunks) but the beer has been replaced by champagne and the wings have been replaced by physique friendly fare like chopped salads and tuna tartar. And no longer do we listen to the blah blah blah of the announcer and the same old car commercials because now we have DJs who pump the latest club anthem while Tom Brady connects with Gronk once again. This piece starts to describe the phenomenon but ADANAI will revisit this topic in depth soon:
