Wow – talk about a parental control switch! A man in China hired an online Video Games Hitman to kill his 23 year-old son’s character in an online role-playing game so he would stop playing so much. Every time the son logged on this “hitman” killed his character immediately so he would get discouraged and give up. The father did all of this because he thought his son needed to devote more time to getting a job. A few questions come to mind:
- Where does one even find an online “hitman”? Are there postings on Craigslist?
- How does one become an online “hitman”? Is there a school? Perhaps this is a new offering at DeVry?
- How much does it pay? Is this something one could do as a full-time gig? Do you get paid per hit or is it a retainer type situation?
Seems like this is something that could really catch on. As more and more people spend hours upon hours playing games online (especially on their iPhone), drastic measures might be needed to curtail these activities. How many spouses out there would love to find a way to get their partner off of Words With Friends? There is no doubt there is some enterprising entrepreneur out there already working on the business plan…
